A Double Whammy.
After a rather delayed roll-out, New York-born lifestyle outfit Aimé Leon Dore have stepped forward with the official unveiling of their latest New Balance collaboration, with this newest effort seeing the 550 silhouette receive yet another makeover.
Having been spotted in the brand’s extensive run of campaign imagery, the latest instalment in the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance series sees two earthy iterations of the 550 silhouette take the floor, carrying the torch from the collaboration’s previous 1906R, 860v2, and 993 releases (amongst others). For this drop, ALD took to Instagram to unveil the news that the latest release was available to buy via entry now, with the two new versions of the 550 sneaker both featuring roughened tonal suede uppers and signature New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore branding on the heel, midfoot, and tongue, with each pair arriving in ‘Brown’ and ‘Beige’ colourways and thus staying true to ALD’s minimalist design ethos.
