Fashioners of the World Closes IED Barcelona Students’ Year with Grand Final

Attendees Recieved an Exclusive Fragrance by Jérôme Di Marino.

25 students of the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and BA (Hons) in Fashion Design from IED Barcelona finished their academic year in style as they presented their final collections in the Fashioners of the World grand final at La Paloma. Referencing themes of self-discovery, inclusivity, family, and politics, each collection had an eye on the future as they utilised sustainable fabrics and the latest cutting-edge technologies.

As with every edition of the annual fashion show, the competition was judged by a panel of international experts composed of Film Director Isabel Coixet; Photographer Manuel Outumuro; Illustrator Jordi Labanda; Fashion Designer and IED Barcelona alumnus Luis de Javier; the Executive Editor of Vogue Talents, Elisa Pervinca; the Founder and Editor of 1Granary, Olya Kuryshchuck; and Youwie Roes, Creative Talent Manager at Eyes on Talent.

The jury awarded the Franca Sozzani Award for Best Collection to Claudia Sala with ‘090623’, while Best Fashion Illustration went to Kimberly Felix Matos’ Commune project, the Isabel Coixet Award for Best Fashion Film went to ‘No land to call our own’ by Paula Azategui, and the Manuel Outumuro Award for Best Shooting was won by Ariadna Rahola’s ‘Lolita’.
