The result of in-depth analysis into the movements of skateboarders during competitive events at the ASICS Sports Engineering Laboratory, the GEL-FLEXKEE offers a highly-functional yet fashionable take on the day-to-day sneaker. For the first time since its inception, OTTO 958 – the amorphous project between fashion house Kiko Kostadinov and the international art gallery Morán Morán – has linked up with ASICS to offer its own unique interpretation on the innovative silhouette, reimagining said style through an avant-garde perspective.
Staying loyal to its original form, the highly-anticipated GEL-FLEXKEE 958 is defined by its separated forefront and enlarged lace flap where OTTO 958’s signature ‘O’ logo rests proudly. Crafted in premium leather, the collaborative design will be released in two initial colourways (Gunmetal/Black & Hunter Green/Black) with a third scheduled for later this year.
Put to the test in its accompanying campaign in, and around, the property of Lizzie Fitch and Ryan Trecartin in Athens, Ohio, the GEL-FLEXKEE 958 is now available online.
