When East Meets West.
Kenzo has linked up with Verdy to release a 38-piece collection in continuation of Nigo’s goal to merge the East with the West.
Verdy is an established Japanese graphic artist who created custom designs for Kenzo’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection and is best known for his influence in the skateboarding, hip-hop, and manga scenes, notably taking over as artistic director for the K-pop group Blackpink in June.
The collection features logo-heavy designs intertwined with timeless and unisex silhouettes. Key pieces from this drop are the heavy cotton hooded jumpers which give off a ribbed, woven look, and the full-body white windbreaker with “KENZO Paris” and “18 Rue Vivienne” scattered all over it.
The Kenzo and Verdy collection will be available until December 17th at the Champs-Élysées pop-up in Paris, and from December 16th to 26th at Corso Como in Seoul.
