Play It Again.
Zara has dropped a new collection under the Origins moniker, along with a short film directed by Bynt. Founded in 2019, the Origins collection aims to revamp the company’s menswear division through minimal cuts and premium materials.
Titled “Play it Again,” the film follows Fisher Smith and Hank Korsan as they make their way home from a party in an old-school Cadillac. While Smith is hoping to call it an early night, Korsan is adamant that his perfected house mix needs to be listened to that same evening.
The pair end up in a modern house, before stepping into what appears to be a living room studio. In a true showcase of the clothes utility, the pair dance their way around the room and onto the balcony before making their way to the lawn where the film cuts.
This Origins drop is a functional, basic take on menswear with emphasis placed on baggy bottoms, workwear jackets, and elevated basics. The stars of this collection are the silk bomber jacket, single button, double-breasted suit jacket, and straight-leg leather trousers.
