Putting forward an elevated take on one of their leading lights, ASICS have tapped Danish contemporary fashion brand Wood Wood for a sleek iteration of their signature GT-2160 silhouette. Having initially been unveiled at Wood Wood’s AW24′ show in Copenhagen earlier this year, the latest entry into the duo’s ongoing partnership sees the sporty mesh sneaker boast various tones of ‘greige’ alongside vibrant pops of colour, which arrive most notably on a green Wood Wood “WW” heel puller. Additional features include tactical lace loops, a stitched co-branded tongue label, as well as a cushioned comfort-centric midsole unit. Tonal opulence.

It’s no secret that Nike’s Air Jordan ‘Air Ship’ hasn’t had much love since its reintroduction, with the colourways, designs, and collaborations having been somewhat underwhelming. However, this new effort has thrown a metaphorical spanner in the works, with the Awake NY x Nike Air Jordan ‘Air Ship’ proving to be one of Nike’s most tasteful yet. The mid-top sneaker feels timeless in age, partly due aged midsoles and a rich white leather composition, whilst being modern in design as a silver red-lined Nike Swoosh sits pretty on the midfoot and a standout red snakeskin lines the upper ankle. Lastly, dotted Awake NY “A” lettering hits the side of the pair, reminding everyone of the flex that this pair truly is.

A double dose of Nike stakes its claim on this week’s line-up as the under appreciated V2K Run silhouette makes itself known. Stepping out of the shadow of the likes of the Nike P-6000, the Nike V2K Run provides a pair for every occasion when you’re out on the go, all the while garnering a slew of attention through its low-lying and modern shape, crisp all-white colour scheme, in addition modern silver TPU overlays. Be different.

Chunky, chunky, chunky. The Vans Knu Skool Mid may not look like it, but it’s certifiably the best summer shoe out there at the moment, with this reduced tan and white colour scheme leaning into this season’s affection for almost yellow colours, with an action-ready mesh midfoot and ankle material combining sumptuously with the classic Vans suede on the toe and heel to add some much needed contrast, while exaggerated gum toe and heel protectors keep a tonal theme going.

Last but certainly not least, the adidas Samba sneakers in at the fifth spot as they tap Reggae stylings for its latest take on the sporty shape. The heritage sneaker once again shows off its versatility as yet another eye-catching colour scheme hits the pair and makes a mark as red, yellow and green shades hit the iconic Three Stripes, whilst typical smooth white leather, a grey suede toe box, as well as a darkened gum sole keep their place.
