Casting it Back.
Yohji Yamamoto and adidas’ Y-3 are combining with football giants Real Madrid for yet another collaborative effort, channeling their early entries with an all-new ‘Matchwear’ collection.
Taking direct inspiration from the early days of the collaborations between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, a signature rose motif proves to be the centre piece of this newest effort as the joint effort champions the iconic emblem of the renowned Japanese fashion designer. Hitting all areas of the beautiful game, this campaign – shot by photographer Gabriel Moses – puts forward a purple 4th kit as its crown jewel, with this colour being embedded in the Spanish club’s DNA. Available for both the Real Madrid Men’s and Women’s teams, the shirt is put together with moisture wicking HEAT.RDY technology to keep players feeling dry while performing on the biggest of occasions. Not stopping there, Y-3 x Real Madrid also redesign two goalkeeper kits – one in black and one in orange – in addition to a white pre-match selection including a top, a pair of shorts, and an anthem jacket. Lastly, ready-to-wear fanwear items are also put up for grabs, with a t-shirt, hoodie, crossbody bag, cap, and scarf all being included in the release.
The latest Y-3 x Real Madrid collaboration is available to shop now via the adidas website.
