Finally Here.
Taking things back “When Things Were Pure”, Joe Freshgoods’ latest run-out alongside New Balance reintroduces the iconic NB 1000 to the masses, with an official release date now upon us.
Having made its mark during the early 2000s, the New Balance 1000 silhouette is one of the retro silhouettes that the high-flying sportswear giants are bringing back this year, with Joe Freshgoods drubbing up a considerable amount of hype for this debut drop. Titled the “When Things Were Pure” pack and consisting of two pairs, this newest creative venture stands as an homage to the early 2000s, with Freshgoods himself staying that this was due to it being a time “when the social environment of the basement party was peak life for me and my friends,” recounting “[…] the circle of faces getting ready to footwork to counting how many times you got juked, the early 2000s were pure.”
Taking inspiration from “[…] half a days, the pink house on central, burning CDs, using the family computer, Wala Cam, pep rallies, and more,” both of the leading “Pink Mink” and “Black Ice” colourways utilise various doses of JFG branding and a striking iridescent glow, whilst a streamlined shape, mesh composition, and a cushioned sole unit let the colour palettes do most of the talking.
Both pairs of the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 1000 are available now via an initial raffle closing on April 11 before officially dropping on April 12th via the Joe Freshgoods website.
