British luxury returns to East 57th Street.
On October 16 2024, Burberry celebrated the reopening of its East 57th Street flagship. Friends of the British fashion house (Cher, Cara Delevingne, Jeremy O’Harris, Jodie Turner-Smith, Maya Jama, Thomas Doherty, and Tyra Banks, to name a few) were invited inside the newly revamped space for an in-store cocktail event, followed by an intimate dinner at Jean’s.
First opened in 1978, the East 57th Street store spans three floors. During the 16 months of renovation work, 693 Fifth Avenue was its temporary home. The updated space now features collaborations with British artists, bespoke design touches and nods to London architecture.
The store’s reopening coincides with the launch of the ‘It’s Always Burberry Weather,’ a cinematic campaign that pays tribute to the brand’s pioneering outerwear heritage. It includes a stellar cast from music, film, fashion and football, with stars like Barry Keoghan, Cara Delevingne, Cole Palmer, Little Simz, and Olivia Colman, all dressed in outerwear styles reimagined by chief creative officer, Daniel Lee.
