Balenciaga’s footwear efforts often stir the pot, and this latest 6XL Sneaker continues to say, “go big or go home.”

Arriving in a monochromatic white colourway, the exaggerated pair make a statement in the most minimalist, Balenciaga-esque way possible, letting themselves speak through the larger than life shape. Continuing to delve into how they sculpt footwear, Balenciaga’s latest campaign sees models Khadim and Lise sit casually with Balenciaga on foot, as the 6XL underlines the fashion house’s love for distortion, reinterpreting the iconography and textures of classic sports sneakers. Adding some height, its volume embraces elements of versatility, staying in line with the styles of the rest of the brand’s aesthetic. Features include a rounded sole and pumped-up lines, sole curves, as well as a comfort-wary padded interior, which secures the foot and makes sure stability and comfort are paramount.
