Kim Jones has designed a commemorative chain in celebration of the Marc Jacobs brands 40th anniversary.
Although Jacobs was never at Dior, his ties to the brand are strong. He was rumoured to be replacing John Galliano in 2011, and again in 2022. Jones said that “Marc is one of my heroes,” and opted to celebrate his champions success with a limited necklace.
Dior Homme honour the skilful harmonisation of Jacobs’ collections with a silver, Cuban style chain outfitted with an “MJ” hanging pendant. Whimsical balloon shaped pendants are strung along the bottom half, breaking up the oversized “CD” in the middle.
The piece marks a new chapter in the duos friendship, exclusively designed with just 20 pieces. Their commemorative necklace is now available, and you can check out imagery on the right.
