The Final Leg.
The 8 designers competing in the final leg for the LVMH Prize have been announced. These brands include Alain Paul of Alainpaul, Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbø of All-In, Soshi Otsuki of Soshiotsuki, Tolu Coker of their namesake label, Zomer by Daniel Aitouganov, Francesco Murano from his namesake label, Steve O Smith from his namesake label, and Torisheju Dumi of Torisheju.
LVMH started the prize fund in 2014 as a way to not only recognise and support emerging young designers but also to financially aid them in their growth. In the past, this award has been won by designers who have gone on to have immense careers such as S.S. Daley, Wales Bonner, and Marine Serre.
All shortlisted labels will be part of the Foundation Louis Vuitton event in Paris on September 3rd, where the prize fund winner will be announced. Other notable awards to be given out that night are the Karl Lagerfeld Prize and the Savoir-Faire Prize.
