The fedora is a refurbished accessory defining present style. At first height of popularity in the 1920s-50s, fedoras made a meteoric statement of masculinity favoring made men to the common men illustrating the ideal formal wear era for American and European counterparts.
Celebrity sightings from fashion icon Pharrell and the vibrant Theophilus London with his trademark wide-brimmed fedora to runway experiments are proof of the hat’s reached acclaim and distinct vintage requisition. This evoking trend overshadowed the snapback, beanie, and bucket hat by reinforcing a lost sophisticated taste. Streetwear brands too, adopted and founded its own aesthetic of the fedora for renewed urban approval.
With the trend publicized all over London Fashion Week 2014 this September, it’s safe to say 2014 is the year of the fedora. From formal to street wear collections, indulging this timeless top with multiple styles displays authentic fashionable flexibility crowning the simplest outfit.

Topman shows New York how London does it.
Topman is one of the top British high street menswear brands that has made a global footprint, giving men everywhere the access and the chance to become the kind of stylish man they want to be. With stores around the world, Topman has opened a new store across the pond on 5th Avenue in New York.
To celebrate their newest store, Topman has created a capsule collection specially for this great achievement (not many retailers have such a global reach). This collection shows how the British man does it in the style department without shying away from prints such as the classic houndstooth and other more striking ones as well. In collaboration with artist Richie Culver, expect smart classic tweet overcoats, bomber jackets and tailored suits with a more contemporary younger aesthetic.
The full collection will be available in-store when the 5th Avenue branch opens its doors next week.
