Yinka Ilori Unveils “100 Found Objects” at Fulham Pier

Connecting Communities.

In a significant addition to London’s unique art and culture scene, Yinka Ilori’s latest installation, “100 Found Objects,” has been unveiled at the new riverside destination, Fulham Pier. This transformative public artwork draws inspiration from Fulham’s rich heritage, and its colourful motifs, reflecting both London’s history and the local flora and fauna, also subtly acknowledge broader cultural connections, including those with Africa.

Situated directly on the river, Fulham Pier represents the ambitious transformation of Fulham Football Club’s former grounds into a 24/7 destination and a hub for the community. Ilori’s evocative and bold artistic style adorns the facade of Fulham Pier, weaving together elements that tell a story of place and identity.

As Ilori himself states, “This project is about honouring stories. Those we inherit, those we create. Those we choose to share. Fulham is filled with quiet treasures and it’s been a joy to uncover them with the community. To bring them to life in a space that belongs to everyone.”

Now open, Fulham Pier is set to burst with activity this summer, including a celebratory weekend from 20th – 22nd June. This free-for-all programme will feature musical performances, comedy gigs, and workshops, with Fulham-born artist Example headlining a free gig for visitors to Fulham Pier on Saturday 21st June.
