We've done the digging, so you don't have to!
Every year on 21st June, Paris transforms into one giant stage for Fête de la Musique, one of the capital’s most anticipated annual celebrations, as musicians take over its streets, squares, rooftops and cultural institutions. First launched by the French Ministry of Culture in 1982, the event has become a staple of the Parisian summer calendar, bringing together established artists, emerging talent and music lovers for a day and night of free performances across the city.
This year’s edition falls on Sunday 21st June, with many venues extending the celebrations across the entire weekend. From intimate live performances and rooftop DJ sets to brand-hosted takeovers and late-night parties, there is no shortage of ways to celebrate.
To save you scrolling through endless event listings, we’ve rounded up the standout Fête de la Musique events worth adding to your itinerary this weekend.
