Unisex clothing company COS have launched their second LA based store at the Beverly Centre. After launching their first Los Angeles based store, COS are back with another, making it their sixth stateside outlet. The minimilistic designs from COS have been spread over one floor, where both women’s, mens and kids clothing and accessories can be found. The trademark look from COS has been portrayed throughout the new store, where minimalist, easy going tones have been used, and also features glass and concrete textures throughout, as well as the raw, naturally coloured steel hanging rails.
Talking on the new space, managing director at COS has said “we are happy to be extending our footprint in Los Angeles with our second store in the city located within the prestigious shopping destination. When positing a COS store, we always consider its accessibility and feel that the Beverly Centre provides our customers with a conventional location in which to explore COS autumn/winter 2015 collection.
Turn over to the dark side this Christmas.
To celebrate the new Star Wars movie coming this December, Nixon want you to turn to the Dark Side. Inspired by The Dark Side of The Force, Nixon collaborated with Lucasfilm to conceive exclusive watches and accessories collections. The first collection features Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Imperial Pilot and Boba Fett watches, backpacks, belts and wallets.
Each model showcases storytelling references that every Star Wars fan will recognise and fall in love with.
The Darth Vader 51-30 Automatic LTD watch represents the dark side of this worldly famous movie – it screams “dark” with every detail! A red lightsaber second hand and the Imperial symbol on the hour hand is certainly something you won’t find anywhere else!
On the other hand, the look of the Ranger Stormtrooper White resembles the clone armoury with is angular geometry. In addition to this, the case back is etched with the famous quote “move along,” while the Ranger Imperial Pilot Black’s case back shows the Imperial Pilot message “crash and burn.” On both watches, the Imperial logo is displayed at 12 o’clock on the dial. The design of the hour and minute hands has been inspired by the Imperial Pilot and the Stormtrooper’s helmet ventilation system.
However, they are not at all gimmicky looking, so they can be worn for everyday events and you don’t actually need to be a Star Wars lover to purchase them!
Early 2016 will see the launch of a second collection, which takes inspiration from the characters of The Force and later on, will come a third line-up whose designs will relate to the new episode VII The Force Awakens.
For now, a very limited number of the watches have gone on sale online at nixon.com.

Miguel stars in a new The Guardian shoot.
Puffy bright orange jumpers, pink jackets, cascading scarves and leather trousers, curtesy of the likes of Balmain and Haider Ackermann. In Miguel’s photoshoot with Lado Alexi for The Guardian, he looks like an old school punk rocker fused with a great psychedelic trip. Just picture Mick Jagger mixed in with Ziggy stardust and a whole lot of Jimi Hendrix.
However, while the style clothing may match the aforementioned, the style of music couldn’t be further apart. Miguel has been considered as one of the smoothest voices in RnB for the last five years, however it’s his honesty and willingness to open up that has truly been most refreshing to the ears.
My mother was really into her religion, and I was, too, to be honest with you. But at the same time I was torn, because as a kid you want to do things. And my mom was very keen on keeping me away from temptation. I was not a part of the social scene in high school. I wasn’t going to parties, I wasn’t drinking, I wasn’t smoking, I definitely wasn’t smoking weed, I wasn’t having sex. Late bloomer. Really late bloomer.
