It’s time to take those new years resolutions seriously.
It’s that time of year again when the post Christmas blues begin to take hold and the regret sets in; you’ve spent the past week eating everything in sight and now can’t bear to look at yourself in the mirror from a side profile, let alone go out in that new slim fit cotton t-shirt you’ve wanted for so long.
As the new year gets closer we all begin to make mammoth promises to ourselves of blossoming into gym going maniacs and laying off the carbs for the next month or so. In a bid to get your body back to beach ready for the summer months, one of the better ways of approaching the matter is a complete natural detox.
Taking a couple of weeks, or even a month of eating natural healthy foods, alongside veering away from chemical-laced products is a surefire way to build a better foundation for a better you. Take a look below at some products that’ll help you on your way.
Supplement – Vertese Beetroot, B12 & Iron Complex
These little tablets pack a powerful punch combining iron and vitamin B12 with other supporting nutrients to help energy levels and reduce tiredness. After only a couple of weeks, we’ve noticed ourselves more alert, awake and quicker to jump out of bed in the morning. They’re also free from dairy, added sugar, salt and yeast and don’t include any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. – Buy here.
Haircare Range – Dr Organic Bioactive Haircare
This may seem a little excessive, but if you want to treat your body with the upmost respect during your detox time even your haircare should change. It’s easy to approach ‘all natural’ haircare with a dubious nature as to how effective it could possibly be – but the results quickly blew any doubts away.
Both the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing and left my hair in great nick, the deep conditioner was even better yet and really lives up to promises leaving your locks in top shape. You can purchase their products online here.
Moisturiser – Tiana Coconut Oil
Jack of all trades, coconut oil, is seeing a resurgence recently with the overall movement back towards natural skincare. This versatile, organic product can be used as a moisturiser or conditioner and will do both tasks exceptionally well, leaving your hair/skin feeling soft, but not greasy, and smelling outrageously good. – Buy here.
Face Mask – So Pure Skincare Charcoal Facial Detox
2015 was the year that charcoal pushed itself to the top of the stars of skincare category; with nearly every cosmetics brand now sporting some form of charcoal based product, the variety of options available can be a little overbearing. So Pure Skincare have stripped this natural mineral back to its roots with only four ingredients making up its facial detox powder which, when mixed with water, forms a paste which is then applied to the face; ten minutes later and you’re left with visibly smoother skin. Perfect for clearing up that over – indulgence induced dull completion. – Buy here.
