British label Palace has pledged a $1 million donation, splitting it between Black Lives Matter and the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust. Making the announcement on Instagram, the brand wrote in its typically blunt manner that “this ain’t some band wagon shit btw.”
Palace is one of many labels that has donated money to causes that support black communities since the killing of George Floyd has invigorated conversations around race and caused worldwide protests. It has been joined by fellow skateboarding labels Supreme, Huf and Peels in giving to these important causes.
