Reviving infamous kits.
Following on from their sell-out first collaboration, Lyle and Scott have tapped the English football collective Lovers FC to create a range of tops, inspired by iconic football shirts of the past.
The 10-piece collection takes stylistic cues from the kits worn by teams such as Juventus, Belgium and West Germany to create polo shirts and knitwear. Both labels personalise the range of tops by adding their logo where the sponsors or club badge originally sat.
Lovers FC founder Neal Heard explains he was “one of the original 80’s terrace dwellers, the Football Casuals, and we were mad on our Lyle and Scott knitwear; so when I decided to put my idea of turning classic kits into knitwear I thought, why not approach the best? True to their reputation, L&S brought their own exacting standards and attention to details to the collection.”
The unisex collection will be available to purchase from Lyle and Scott on November 9; so for now, check out the full editorial below.
