Dior x ERL.
One of the more unexpected pending collaborations to date, Kim Jones recently unveiled to WWD that he’d invited Los Angeles label ERL to collaborate with him on his next Dior offering.
No stranger to unique partnerships, the exclusive interview with WWD saw Jones speak on the exciting new collab which will debut tomorrow, May 19th from Venice Beach. Speaking on the news, he elaborated;
“I’m doing two projects like this, this year, and that’s it, and I thought it was nice to work with younger designers I admire and give them the platform through Dior in a different way. Talking to all the people that I know that have gone through the pandemic and being independent, it’s been difficult, so I thought it was a nice way to support people and also, glean a bit of how they’re working… It gives us the capacity to do something in a different way than we’d work on it as Dior.”
