Heritage workwear brand CAT Footwear has joined forces with the famous Nigel Cabourn for a new footwear capsule, bringing in several new iterations of CAT classics.

Having most recently teamed up with the likes of Umbro and Yogi, British-born fashion designer Nigel Cabourn is back with yet another collaborative venture as he teams up with CAT Footwear for a selection of new footwear staples. Channelling the industrial heritage, authentic designs, and rich utilitarian history of CAT, Nigel Cabourn has reimagined the Utah and Omaha work boots in four colourways, with these silhouettes being named after D-Day beaches cleared by the US Navy Seabees during the Second World War.

From 1941, Caterpillar (CAT) machinery was a widely used right-hand partner for the Seabees, who were a construction battalion famous for their ability to build anything, anywhere. Nigel Cabourn taps into this spirit for this new collaboration, being inspired by the stories of real people in military and vintage workwear history.

Debuting in a ‘Black’ and ‘Dijon’ colourway, the Omaha boot boasts a mixed canvas and full-grain leather upper, breathable nylon mesh lining, an over-engineered rugged outsole, heavy-duty hardware add-ons, a cushioned foam footbed, heritage-inspired laces, as well as classic CAT Footwear x Nigel Cabourn upper branding. The Utah boot brings in a left-of-centre ‘Camo’ colourway as well as a ‘Brown Leather’ iteration, with this high-top pair donning a full grain leather, canvas, and cow suede composition, a steel toe, a traditional Goodyear welt lining its outer edge, signature collaborative branding, as well as the other standout features seen on the Omaha boot.

The Cat Footwear x Nigel Cabourn footwear range is available to shop now via the CAT Footwear website. Check out the campaign imagery below.
