In a recent Instagram post, Jonathan Anderson teased a collaboration with British rainboots brand Wellipets – famously known for their elite craftsmanship and being seen on Prince William and Harry back in 1983.
The Northern Irish designer puts his spin on the classic rainboot by giving it a backless mule silhouette for comfort and ease of wear. The shoe features a waterproof PVC shell and a cozy footbed made up of recycled wool and polyester, but the standout elements here are definitely the distinct yellow frog eyes and red lip detailing that can be seen at the toe. This playful take only makes us wonder what kind of concept Anderson is cooking up for his eponymous label’s next release, with the luxury designer always keeping us guessing season after season.
