Stepping forward with the fifth instalment in their collaborative partnership, Joe Freshgoods and New Balance have unveiled an official look at their latest upcoming footwear collaboration for the Spring 2023 season, titled “Beneath The Surface.”
Featuring two collaboratively-designed silhouettes, this latest effort between Joe Freshgoods and New Balance sees the 610 and The Rainier boot make an appearance, with the former pair arriving in two ‘Orange/Green’ and ‘Beige/Black’ colourways. Looking to “[…] explore the various ways in which we (he) could use the JFG print to bring the details out”, Joe Freshgoods’ latest designs sees the 610 take on an outdoor-ready aesthetic, with mesh and intricately detailed buttery leather adorning the majority of the uppers, whilst ridged soles and rope laces add a sense of utility to the pairs. Taking this idea and running with it, the Rainier boot utilises a classic green camouflage print across the toe box, midfoot and heel counters, with additional darkened green suede and black New Balance insignia forming a shoe perfect for both urban and hiking environments. Describing the Rainier boots , Joe Freshgoods stated that forming his own camouflage print for a shoe “[…] has been a dream for me for a while now.”
