PAUSE or Skip: Gucci GG Screener Studded Sneakers

A Staple Made Punk.

Under the reign of Alessandro Michele, Gucci had become a brand synonymous with the 70s aesthetic through the disco-esque look that they so gracefully achieved. The heritage label seems to have turned over a new leaf into a more punk style which is made apparent through these Gucci GG Screener Studded Sneakers.

With a predominantly beige leather upper for that worn-in feel, the side and toe panels feature a tartan check pattern in red, beige and green – the signature Gucci colours. These trademark colours can be seen scattered across the entirety of the shoe, most notably on the sides where the striped taping is present. The punk edge is given through the studded spikes that are attached throughout the shoe for that rockstar effect. Other details include a vintage cream outsole and padded tongue for a chunkier silhouette.
