Stüssy’s new Summer 2024 collection has received mixed reception since debuting yesterday, with many noting some significant absences and a lack of range.
Despite this, Stüssy took to their social media to push ahead with their latest Summer joint as the streetwear titans channel an affection for a capsule-like wardrobe, with many rotational basics being present throughout this stripped back range. Set poolside in the some sunny hills, the campaign imagery captures the laid-back aura of Stüssy and encapsulates the feeling of summer, with the streetwear outfit putting together a uniformed range of garments that speaks to their archives whilst also appealing to an even wider group of consumers. For instance, Stüssy opt for flannel-like checkered overshirts to layer on top of black mesh t-shirts and earth-coloured jeans, whilst button-down open-collar shirts arrive in black and white pinstripe with faded acid-style green jeans, and sand-coloured shorts and jeans line-up alongside a blue workwear jacket. This easy and adaptable style even continues into some of the more “out there” Stüssy Summer 2024 pieces, with a “STUSSY” labelled zip-hoodie, a cropped acid-wash denim jacket, and a camouflage-style windbreaker rain jacket all taking their individual place whilst pairing perfectly with the rest of the range.
