Part II.
After six years of its first collaboration, Kim Jones is once again collaborating with Kaws on a bold new menswear capsule collection.
In this latest collection, Kaws has focused on the motif of a snake, creatively intertwined with the Dior logo across various pieces. The lineup includes a soft pink varsity jacket, loose track pants with Dior Oblique-patterned stripes, and sleek satin shirts quilted with Dior’s signature cannage pattern. In select pieces, the snake cleverly forms the initials “CD.”
“Kaws is an incredible artist and someone I deeply admire,” Jones shared in a statement. “Working with him on the summer 2019 collection was a pleasure, and I thought it was time to bring a fresh Kaws element back to Dior.”
Jones noted that this collaboration follows a recent partnership with Japanese artist Otani, marking his first artist collaboration since 2021. “I wanted something that’s fun and feels a bit like Pop Art,” Jones explained, reflecting on the energy of the new Kaws capsule collection.
The complete collection is set to unveil soon.
