Objects of Affection.
Bottega Veneta has unveiled “IL MIO”, a new portrait series exploring the relationship between cherished objects and the people who carry them. Photographed by Drew Vickers under the creative direction of Louise Trotter, the project places the house’s iconic woven bags alongside their owners, highlighting the personal connections that develop between luxury pieces and everyday life.
Named after the Italian expression meaning “what belongs to me”, “IL MIO” examines how accessories can evolve beyond their practical function to become lasting companions. Through a series of intimate portraits, the project reflects on the ways in which treasured items are collected, worn and passed down, taking on new meaning through the experiences of their owners.
The series spotlights five Intrecciato designs, including the Mini Andiamo, Lauren 1980 and Madison, while also offering an early look at the upcoming Baby Campana and Baby Barbara bags ahead of their release later this summer.
Together, the images reinforce Bottega Veneta’s enduring focus on craftsmanship, individuality and the personal stories that shape the objects we choose to keep close.
