As we’re sure you know, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian got married this weekend in a Florentine Castle with an array of guests including Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing and ex-Vogue editor André Leon Talley. Kanye and Kim were both wearing bespoke Givenchy to their wedding.

Kanye opted for a very traditional tuxedo – to complement the venue and the style of the wedding. Many thought that he would push the boundaries of wedding satorialism with sneakers or an unconventional tux, but at PAUSE we are relieved to see that he stuck with a tailored black tuxedo. Although there are not many pictures, we can see that he’s gone for the standard black tuxedo with a shawl satin lapel and cummerbund – all designed by Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci. He also wore a bow-tie which has been a rare sight for Kanye for the past few years – something that he used to wear back in 2009 when he attended London Fashion Week (shown below). He opts for what seems like suede chukka’s instead of the standard patent leather oxfords or opera pumps – adding a bit of a typical Kanye modernism to it.
Get the look: Although Kanye’s tux was custom designed by Riccardo Tisci, you can find similar tuxes below. First is another Givenchy slim fitted tuxedo, Tisci has put his modern touch on the traditional shawl lapel tux by playing with the lapels and adding a slimmer fit and satin borders to the pockets. Pair it with a pair of velvet slippers and tapered trousers for a sick modern look. You can find the tux on MR PORTER for £1,450 here
For something a bit less high fashion, we have a classic tuxedo from the American designer J Crew. With the wider, classic lapels, it has an old school Savile Row vibe to it. Pair it with some patent leather shoes, a cummerbund and a bow tie for a perfect traditional look. You can find it at MR PORTER again for £810 here
For something a bit more accessible, check this tuxedo from Topman. With their signature slim/skinny sillouhette, they get the budget tux just right without having to drop £1000 on it. You can buy this at Topman for £80 here
