Topman Autumn/Winter 2016 Lookbook

Topman draw influences from Iceland and Paris for their new A/W16 collection.

The new collection, divided into four key trends, explores a range of unique destinations including Iceland, Paris and Russia. The first ‘subset’ of Topman AW16 is dubbed ‘Malmo Icelandic’ and is comprised of a range of hazy seventies outerwear and mohair knit jumpers paired with dusky pink jackets. Such a trend would not be complete without flannel, and this collection is no exception to the rule. Thinly woven flannel shirts and jackets are draped over mustard coloured corduroys to showcase this season’s slouchy silhouette.

The second trend that Topman AW16 explores is a Parisian over-sized look, displayed through deep brown jacquard and an abundance of boiled wools. The trend is distinguished through staple roll-necks and layering. The ‘Russian Grunge’ trend is unveiled through utilitarian outerwear and leopard prints to create a juxtaposition of luxury and kitsch. The final trend dissected by Topman’s AW16 is ‘Earth Goth’, focusing on raw undefined edges and velour fabrics in a range of muted earthy tones. The collection will be available in Topman stores and online from September 2016.
