SKIP: Although there’s nothing wrong with Pharrell’s mod-inspired outfit, he failed to receive the memo for this years event even though his jeans were COMME Des GARÇONS, whilst his wife Helen Lasichanh executed it perfectly.
PAUSE: His appearance may have been more surprising than his outfit choice but this simple and smart Balmain choosing worked for Frank Ocean.
PAUSE: John Legend kept it classy in a cream Burberry suit jacket and black suit trousers, complimenting wife Chrissy Teigen’s dress.
PAUSE: P Diddy’s Rick Owens suit hinted at the avant-garde with long line tailoring and outwards stripes.
PAUSE: Donald Glover’s simple Burberry tuxedo with a small injection of pattern worked for this years Met Gala.
PAUSE: Just when we thought Jaden Smith cutting off his dreadlocks was a big enough statement, he turned up with them as an accessory to his Louis Vuitton suit.
PAUSE: Wiz Khalifa’s co-ordinated tuxedo was effortless.
SKIP: Joe Jonas’s pinstriped red suit.
PAUSE: Future in a women’s equivalent of a male tie, tuxedo and an infamous pair of sunglasses.
PAUSE: Alessandro Michelle mixed baby blue with patterned pink and a skirt with trousers.
PAUSE: The Weeknd had new girlfriend Selena Gomez on his shoulder as he graced the cream stairs in a simple black suit.
PAUSE: Mario Testino kept it classic and cool.
PAUSE: ASAP Rocky and Ashton Saunders arrived at the Met Gala together, both wearing Raf Simon’s first collection for Calvin Klein hot off the runway.
SKIP: Anwar Hadid’s suit was rather lackluster whilst sister Bella Hadid sported a riskier jumpsuit.
PAUSE: Nick Jonas’s Ralph Lauren Purple Label suit proved he was definitely the better-dressed brother.
PAUSE: Migos were truly squad goals in matching black tuxedos, sunglasses and silver jewellery.
SKIP: Ryan Reynolds let his wife Blake Lively attract all the attention at the Gala with her feathered dress, but his matching blue tie was a nice touch.
PAUSE: Luka Sabbat’s red tuxedo certainly made him stand out from the crowd.
SKIP: The Met Gala may have seemed like a good place for Virgil Abloh to debut the new OFF-WHITE Air Jordan 1, but this outfit missed the theme on so many levels. Wrong time, wrong place.
