In the Making...
It seems as though Nigo’s debut Nike collaboration is set to arrive sooner than we think, with the multifaceted designer taking to social media to officially confirm the pair.
Having been spotted in the rumoured pair himself – most recently at this past June’s Paris Fashion Week – KENZO’s Nigo looks to be ramping up efforts to debut his opening Nike collaboration to the public, with an official look expected in the coming weeks. Taking to his social media to share a brief confirmation of the collaboration, Nigo is following on from his previous efforts alongside industry rivals adidas and BAPE with a reimagined take on the sportswear giants’ slept on Air Force 3 silhouette. In a brief blurb, “YOU CAN’T PUT NIGO IN A BOX” stands out as a war cry from the Japanese designer, with the iconic creative underlining how this upcoming collaboration “reaches into many corners of culture, expressing a deep love for the movies, music, traditions of craft that have influenced the practice of Nigo.” The upcoming Air Force 3 pair is expected to arrive in a multicoloured patent leather iteration, with a multi-panelled design seeing shiny leather be adorned with shades of baby pink, red, blue, yellow, and green, with a uniformed black and white midsole unit and rear “NIGO FORCE” chrome lettering seemingly completing the pair.
Stay tuned for Nigo x Nike Air Force 3 release information as it arrives.
