The Wedding Season Intro:
As the Sun finally graces UK shores, and temperature heats up, it can only mean one thing. Yes, Wedding season is upon us. And, as the invitations flood in, thoughts turn to this question: What does one wear?
Weddings are joyous occasions. People committing, people laughing, often there are tears. But, let’s not lie. Weddings are also frightful occasions. First, there’s dodgy weather. Then, there’s trying to fit in with the theme. There is nothing worse than seeing an invitation with a theme more complicated than ‘Love’. A Countryside theme when the wedding is in the middle of Peckham is a massive sartorial issue.
Alas, have no fear, PAUSE is here. We will be navigating through the right well-groomed wedding looks to show you how to look your best. Whether you want to blend in, or stand out, we will be covering it all.
We will also be answering your questions so either email us at: [email protected], or tweet us @Pause_Mag

Vinti Andrews now introduces her AW13-14 collection, which offers a fresh mix of material and texture, making us think of glamorized characters from US Slasher movies. Goths Vs Jocks is a strong example from her collection, which in many ways highlights the ‘perfect high school victim’ stereotype.
“The idea of opposite sub cultures coming together, joining forces and exchanging traits to find the killer… defeating the enemy.”
Vinti Andrews is well known for her reconstructive design techniques. You might remember her from previous collaborations with Nike, designing some interesting mash-ups with various Nike products as the base. In her AW13-14 collection she combines natural and high-tech material and textures such as cotton, nylon, chenille, sequins and beadings. We also find different mixtures of plaids and the use of traditional tie-dye techniques.
The playful approach to traditional techniques and modern aesthetics is perfect for those wanting to ease their way into the fashion conscious look. This collection will do the trick.

Zara Man gives us their Spring Look book 2013 and another reason to wish for warmer weather. We never complain about affordable designer inspired pieces, which makes Zara perfect for the wardrobe update when spring and summer hits.
The latest from the brand is tailored trousers, relaxed fit t-shirts, and tailored blazers. The colors and materials gives the collection a great freshness but it is perhaps the prints, the tie-dye, gradients and the paisley we enjoy the most this season.
Fluorine yellow colors combined with denim shirts or soft grey and white will be a nice way to enter your summer holidays. Visit their store and try on the silk pants with paisley prints, perhaps a little bit risky but a bit of bravery and confidence could make it a successful combination!
Keep contrasting textures, shapes and colors in mind this season; for those who don’t want to go all the way to silk pants, choose the more classic look with poplin pants and double placket shirts mixing it up with accessories adding colors and patterns. Find more inspiration online – Enjoy getting ready for the summer!
