Art inspires the PLAC Spring/Summer 2017 collection.
It is always fun when the art world and the fashion world collide.
The art inspiration for the collection was David Hockney. Designer of PLAC, Jae Wan Park, took aspects from Hockney’s painting and combined that with his own personal style. Park said he wanted to create a “gentleman’s summer wardrobe”. The lineup and the set design had a very sixties feel to it, with bold block colours which contrasted against the very monochromatic collection.
PLAC is a South Korean based brand whose main stockist now lie in America. Cotton was the staple fabric used throughout, providing us with a relaxed style collection filled with t-shirts and cropped trousers, as well as using oversized outerwear.
