LVMH Prize for Young Designers 2020 Announces Final Eight

Getting closer to the finishing line, LVMH announced its eight finalists for the prestigious Prize for Young Designers 2020.

Following a semi-final round at the LVMH headquarters where 68 experts judged the showroom experience of each designer, only eight designers now remain in the process to secure the crown as the LVMH Young Designer of 2020, along with stockist opportunities and €300,000. The eight nominees that remain in the competition are, Priya Ahluwalia, Casablanca, womenswear label Chopova Lowena, Nicolas Daley, Peter Do, Tokyo-based designer Tomotoka Koizumi, Supriya Lele, and Sindiso Khumalo, the sustainable textile designer from Cape Town.

The next round of the competition will see finalists face an all-star panel of judges, which includes names such as Jonathan Anderson, Kris Van Assche, Nicolas Ghesquière, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Marc Jacobs, and former finalist and now Louis Vuitton Artistic Director, Virgil Abloh. The final will take place at Fondation Louis Vuitton on June 5, 2020.
