After unveiling its new brand platform, “We Gave the World an Original, You Gave us a Thousand Back,” in 2023, the Trefoil returns this summer to honour the multitude of Originals. The brand shines a spotlight on the iconic SL 72 silhouette with a captivating, star-studded new campaign.
First introduced in the summer of 1972, the SL 72 sneaker ignited a paradigm shift in the world of running shoes. Now, more than fifty years later, the fusion of sport and culture is stronger than ever, and this timeless silhouette continues to be embraced by true Originals everywhere. adidas is reintroducing the SL 72 with the launch of five new colour-ways.
Paying tribute to the countless Originals, the return of the SL 72 is brought to life through a campaign shot by Kenny Germé, featuring luminaries from the worlds of sport and culture. The campaign stars supermodel Bella Hadid, footballer Jules Koundé, creative polymath A$AP Nast, musician Melissa Bon, and model Sabrina Lan.
