DUCKWRTH FEATURING ALEX MALI, RADIO AHLEE AND BAYLI – FIND A WAY

Critically acclaimed LA-based rapper Duckwrth expresses a poignant, poetic and politically charged statement throughout the lyric video for single titled ‘Find A Way’ featuring Alex Mali, Radio Ahlee and Bayli.

Among an array of artists who have used their musical platform to speak on wider issues affecting the black community in particular – the powerful imagery throughout the 4-minute offering threads together actual footage and imagery of Black Lives Matter Protests, described as: “the perfect soundtrack to these vignettes of a world finally on the cusp of a necessary change and revolution.”

JORDS – BLACK & READY

Croydon-based musician Jords is renowned for his capability to intertwine clever lyricism with thought-provoking concepts and raw emotion – displayed in his latest track ‘Black and Ready’. The visuals directed by Natalie Wilson unravel the concept that Black is a monolith.

Unapologetically utilising his self-made platform, he unveils the faces and voices that society keep quiet. Infusing the sound with a mixture of conscious rap, atmospheric trap and afrobeats, Jords is one of the many black British artists yearning for a societal change.

A BOOGIE WIT DA HOODIE FT. DON Q FT LIL UZI VERT – FLOOD MY WRIST

New York based rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie enlists frequent collaborators Don Q and Lil Uzi Vert for new joint ‘Flood My Wrist’. The debut single taken from Highbridge the label compilation project (named after the hometown of A Boogie), displays bright-hued visuals of the trio living life to the fullest.

TY DOLLA $IGN FT. KANYE WEST, FKA TWIGS AND SKRILLEX – EGO DEATH

The master of hooks, song-writing and producing is back. TY Dolla $ign returns with new track ‘Ego Death’ which boasts a star-studded line up featuring Kanye West, FKA Twigs and additional production courtesy of Skrillex. Teasing a forthcoming album, Ego Death is just one ounce of what we can expect when the project drops in the near future.

JARREAU VANDAL FT COL3TRANE – MY WAY

Renowned for being one of Amsterdam’s most in-demand DJ’s and producers, Jarreau Vandal has meticulously honed his sound past his home turf. His forthcoming EP Superhero: The Villain Within, due on the 16th July, offers an array of multi genre up-tempo tracks. Following his previous single which featured Kojey Radical and Gaidaa, Vandal is back with his third single taken from the project. ‘My Way’ sees young North London artist Col3trane pervade what is considered an ‘afrobeat groove’.

BURNA BOY – WONDERFUL

Reigning winner for BET’s ‘Best International Act’ for two consecutive years, Burna Boy celebrates in style with the release of his official music video ‘Wonderful’. Continuing his impeccable work rate into 2020, the Nigerian star brings animation and brightness to the rhythm taken from his upcoming album Twice As Tall.

When describing the purpose behind the track, Burna Boy stated that it is a reminder to him that “no matter how far you go, or how hard you work; you must be ready to come home.” Celebrating black strength and its origins, Wonderful provides us with everything we need [and more] to keep us uplifted and merry.

FEKKY – BLACK N PROUD

South London born rapper Fekky releases politically-charged single ‘BNP’ (Black n’ Proud). Renowned for delivering garage-infused hip-hop and rap, the 33-year-old has uniquely spun the commonly known acronym used for the far-right political party to one that serves the black community.

Postponing all scheduled releases, Fekky has decided to focus on topics that speaks on the racial and political climate around the world. Touching on systematic racism along with issues that are synonymous with growing up in Britain as a black individual, BNP conveys an influential message throughout.

SAWEETIE – PRETTY B*TCH FREESTYLE

As Cancer season is in full swing, who better than multi-platinum selling female rapper Saweetie to come through with the iciest of videos for her track ‘Pretty B*tch Freestyle’.

In celebration of her birthday, the song follows through her recent release ‘Tap In’ – marking her first record since her hit chart-tumbling record ‘My Type’. In works for the summer, her forthcoming project labelled Pretty B*tch Music, encourages all females to define their own pretty and promote self-love and confidence! The catchy club anthem is inspired by fellow Bay Area Too Short and is the perfect soundtrack for a real hot girl summer.

MAVERICK SABRE – SIGNS

Renowned as a respected storyteller, singer and social commentator, Maverick Sabre shares his second single titled ‘Signs’ taken from his upcoming EP You Know How It Feels. His EP is a musical continuation from his poignant 2019 album When I Wake Up. Describing his new project as more experimental, his unique versatility as an artist is showcased by his ability to be thought-provoking and potent through his sound.

IAMDDB – QUARANTINE

Manchester’s queen of lo-fi, laidback and passionate music, IAMDDB has dropped her new track ‘Quarantine’, bursting with her unapologetic, defiant and explosive energy. Her recent single explores a new vision, as the singer has been teasing a run of new music ahead of her anticipated album due in 2021.

TASTE OF PLUTO – SCORPIO’S LETTER

Caribbean collective Taste of Pluto have released their new single ‘Scorpio’s Letter’.

Displaying their musical talents with witty lyricism and delicate delivery of vocals, the trio do not shy away from singing about a love they’re ready to give. Layering melodies over the J. Ellis production, Scorpio’s Letter arrives just in time for summer and serves one of the many in line for the group.

D BLOCK EUROPE – PLAIN JANE

South London’s duo D Block Europe are back with their latest offering ‘Plain Jane’.

Just weeks after their release ‘Free 22’, the Myles Suave-directed video display the pair once again exhibiting their ability to filter out unapologetic lyricism and dynamic flow in their usual element.
